| Customer Reviews: The Best Dictionary of MATLAB & Mechanics December 12, 2009 K. Yamauchi I've just got this book 2 hours ago, and skimmed all the 608 pages twice. I have to say this book is amazing, and Dr. Rao V Dukkipati, the author of the book, has done an excellent job.
This book isn't a normal MATLAB book teaching common programmings and stuff, but a dictionary of MATLAB and mechanics. (This is a book highly specialized for engineers.)
I also have a book called "MATLAB a practical introduction to programming and problem solving" written by Stormy Attaway. It is a well-written book too, but not for my use in college so, it's been in my bookshelf.
I highly recommend you to use Ch. 1 and 2 as a dictionary. These chapters make your life a lot easier. Ch. 3 will be your great reference of solving actual engineering problems using MATLAB. You don't expect this kind of stuff from other MATLAB books.
If you are not satisfied with usual MATLAB books, get this one. Investing 100 bucks on this is really cheap if you wish to use MATLAB for engineering classes and real life application.
